Selena Gomez Has Already Started Recording Her New Album For Interscope Records
Selena Gomez clearly doesn’t believe in resting on your laurels. After generating an avalanche of praise for her emotional performance of “The Heart Wants What It Wants” at Sunday night’s (November 23) American Music Awards, the 22-year-old would be forgiven for taking a minute to soak up the triumph. Instead, she’s already in the studio working on her next album. And the baby-faced diva is using her current hit single as a reference point.
“It’s exciting for me to start off with something like [‘The Heart Wants What It Wants’]” she revealed in a radio interview. “And then start leading into writing about all the other things that are going on in my life and have gone on in the past year or so.” It’s obvious that Selena is taking a very different approach for her first project with Interscope Records. “I’m excited to put more of my heart and soul into the next chapter of music.” The LP, which is expected to drop mid-2015, is shaping up to be a blockbuster.
