Lady Gaga Revs Us Up With Her ‘Born This Way’ Cover Art

Lady Gaga has touted her new album as being all about acceptance, whether you’re gay, straight, bi, broke, evergreen, beige, Lebanese — or half-human, half-motorcycle, apparently. The mind-vomiting wench behind “Judas” has released the Nick Knight-shot cover art for her hotly-anticipated album, and the reason she’s not wearing pants this time is because the lower half of her body is a bike. (Good reason.) Appropriately, the bizarre icon’s hair looks like it’s been on a 100-mile-per-hour trip down the highway and her ruby-red lips provide a splash of color amidst all the chrome and rubber. Check out the full-sized pic after the jump.

Any way you cut it, this album art is ridiculous. It doesn’t take itself seriously in the slightest, and while it initially seems to have little in common with the message of “Born This Way,” it does seem in the spirit of celebrating our “differences,” be they based on race, sexuality, or a vehicular torso. Frankly, it’s not the album cover we expected from Gaga — which, come to think of it, is exactly what we should expect from her.

Do you dig Gaga’s gloriously tacky, over-the-top cover art? Or do you feel the need to put on an eye condom?
