Rihanna Returns To Instagram After 6-Month Absence

Rihanna‘s Instagram feed went silent for six months this year, after she posted topless photos that caused her account  to be briefly suspended. Early on November 2, though, she returned to Instagram with an upside-down selfie. #badgalback, indeed.

Rihanna’s feed has over 12 million followers. Designer Tom Ford has called it more influential than any fashion reviewer. But it was also one of the most controversial. Rihanna raised eyebrows with impromptu photo shoots at an Abu Dhabi mosque and with a protected primate in Thailand. Then, she posted snapshots from her topless Lui magazine shoot, only to have her account suspended but then quickly reactivated.

Rihanna returns to Instagram among reports that she is about to released her eighth album. See the Unapologetic star’s first posts following her six-month absence below.
