Years & Years: Idolator Interview
We grabbed some time with the trio in Austin, during SXSW.

There are many new album releases coming this summer, and one of the projects we have a close eye on is Years & Years’ debut album — Communion. Today (May 11) the UK dance trio premiered a new tune off the upcoming record, which is simply titled “Shine.”

Years & Years switch up their usual dancefloor-ready sound for a smoother, more intimate vibe. The song has a slight disco feel, thanks to the bright piano melodies, shimmering synths and Olly Alexander’s soaring vocals

“Shine” is the latest track off Years & Years’ Communion LP, which will drop on July 10 (its new release date) via Polydor Records. The record features tunes like “Take Shelter,” “King,” “Desire,” “Memo” and the most recent “Worship.” It will also be released in standard, deluxe and double 12″ vinyl editions.
