Iggy Azalea Thanks Plastic Surgeon For “Fabulous Nose And Breasts” On His Birthday
The stigma around plastic surgery may still be a reality, but Iggy Azalea doesn’t care. On November 26, she wished a dear friend a happy birthday on Instagram, as many people do. That friend, Dr. Ashkan Ghavami, just happens to be her plastic surgeon.
“It might seem obvious I’d hold the man I owe my fabulous nose and breasts to in high regard,” the “Team” rapper said. “But vanity aside; Ash you’re hilarious as hell, talented, eclectic, a progressive thinker & someone who supports women in their choice to do what they want with their OWN bodies (tons of men don’t share that sentiment). So cheers to you! I’m proud to call you my friend.”
To some backlash, Iggy got a nose job last summer. “I wanted to change my nose because I didn’t grow up with a bump on it — that happened when I got smashed in the face with a soccer ball when I was 16,” she said in her March Elle Canada cover story. The year before she got breast implants, a procedure that she’d considered “[her] entire life.”
“There was nothing wrong with me,” she told Ellen DeGeneres earlier this year. “I think it’s a personal choice. And anybody, man or woman, they should be able to make an informed decision. If you want to change something, then that’s up to you.”
