Ariana & John To Cover Disney Classic
Keep it! Ariana Grande and John Legend will cover "Beauty And The Beast."

EDIT: The post has been updated with a full streaming link below.

You can listen to a snippet of Ariana Grande and John Legend’s cover of “Beauty And The Beast” in the latest trailer for live action remake (above). Let’s start with the good news. It isn’t quite the childhood-ruining experience that I expected. However, it is completely unnecessary and pales in comparison to the original. The problem is that it’s a little too faithful to Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson’s version, which only highlights the inferior vocal ability of their replacements.

Oh well, the damage is done and the cover will be released as the first single from the film’s soundtrack. A video has already been filmed (it was directed by the legendary Dave Meyers, no less), so Disney is clearly hoping they have another “Let It Go” on their hands. There could be some hope for the soundtrack, however. Celine is contributing a new song called “How Does A Moment Last Forever.” It will be her first English-language release since Pink-penned ballad “Recovering.”
