Demi Lovato Explains Why She’s Not Performing At Manchester Benefit Concert
Well, this is a little awkward. Demi Lovato was one of the first celebrities to share her condolences about the Manchester bombing in a series of heartfelt tweets. However, you won’t see her perform at the One Love Manchester benefit concert on June 4. Fans asked why the Confident diva wasn’t performing at the event and she didn’t mince words. “I wasn’t asked.” Instead, you’ll be able to catch Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, Usher, Take That, Pharrell Williams and Niall Horan at the event.
On the bright side, Demi is enjoying something of a sleeper hit with “No Promises.” The Cheat Codes-assisted track is slowly climbing the Billboard Hot 100 and is sitting just outside the top 50 on iTunes. The summery anthem has already racked up 85 million Spotify streams and is charting around the world. If nothing else, it will keep the pop star’s name on people’s lips while we wait for the first taste of her 6th album. See her tweets below.
