Adele’s non-consecutive streak at #1 with 21 on Billboard‘s Top 200 is interrupted once more, as Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto easily enters the chart at the peak position. The UK band’s fifth studio album, which lands at #1 based on the strength of 447,000 copies sold in its first week, is now their third in a row to reach the summit of the Top 200. Meanwhile, over on the Hot 100 singles chart, Rihanna and Calvin Harris’ “We Found Love” bumps Adele’s “Someone Like You” off the top. Coldplay have now posted the third largest first-week sales with an album on the Top 200 this year, following Lady Gaga’s Born This Way (1.1 million) and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV (964,000).

Half of the Top 10 on the album chart is comprised of new releases this week, including Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger (163,000), which arrives at #2 on the Top 200. Over on the Hot 100, Clarkson’s “Mr. Know It All” inches up to #10, marking her first Top 10 single since “My Life Would Suck Without You” peaked at #1 in 2009.

Other new entries on the album chart include Michael Buble’s holiday offering Christmas (#3, 141,000), Toby Keith’s 15th studio album Clancy’s Tavern (#5, 69,000) and Tom Waits’ 17th studio LP Bad As Me (#6, 63,000).

Getting back to the Hot 100, “We Found Love” marks both Rihanna’s 11th trip to the top of said chart and Calvin Harris’ first. The Barbadian singer now passes Janet Jackson and Stevie Wonder’s achievement of 10 #1s, and trails only The Beatles (who have 20), Mariah Carey (18), Michael Jackson (13), Madonna (12) and The Supremes (12). Whitney Houston also has 11.

Rihanna’s first chart-topping single was “SOS”, back in 2006, and her most recent #1 before “We Found Love” was “S&M”.
