The pop singer’s tour wardrobe includes a saucy majorette outfit, a Joan Of Ark-inspired medieval look, and the “Girl Gone Wild” even brings back her famous Jean Paul Gaultier “Vogue” cone bra, but in a new way — the bra is now redesigned as part of a skeleton corset worn over posh business suit attire. “It’s all about masculine and feminine, Madonna and Jean Paul Gaultier classics reinterpreted for 2012,” says Gaultier himself.
The fashion designer continues, gushing over his pop idol and friend. “I love Madonna. She is the only woman I have asked to marry me. She refused, of course. But when she asked me to do a costume for her for this tour, I couldn’t refuse.”
Some of the other high-profile designers who contributed looks to Madge’s tour include Jeremy Scott, Prada, Miu Miu, Alexander Wang and Dolce & Gabbana. Pieces from Madonna’s Truth Or Dare lingerie line, including panties with a red heart, are also worn during the show.
