It’s been a big week for Demi Lovato. The 22-year-old has a smash on her hands with “Cool For The Summer” (it continues to wreak havoc with pop radio and is now hovering just outside the top 10 on iTunes) and kissed goodbye to her girl-next-door image, once and for all, with the eye-popping video. She also rolled out the track’s killer remix package, which boasts contributions from house heavyweights Todd Terry, Dave Aude and Cahill as well as newcomer VARA.

The fifth and final remix comes from the ever-innovative Plastic Plates. The New York-based, Australian artist/producer is known for his intricate electro-overhauls of tracks like Sia’s “Chandelier” and Cheerleader’s “Sunshine Of Our Youth,” and he works similar magic on Demi’s majestic pop anthem. His version of “Cool For The Summer” is a heady blend of robotic funk and early ’80s disco that sounds custom-made for sun-dappled pool parties in Miami. We’re excited to premiere it below.
