Duke Dumont Premieres Single “Ocean Drive,” Announces ‘Blase Boys Club Part 1’ EP: Listen

Grammy-nominated UK house producer Duke Dumont is switching gears and going Italo disco with new single “Ocean Drive,” which premiered today on Annie Mac‘s BBC Radio 1 show. The smooth and synthy track immediately conjures up images of red Ferraris, Wayfarers and Atari joysticks — so Duke is basically ticking all the right boxes with his change-up in sound. Really, all that’s missing is a “produced by Stock Aitken Waterman” credit.

“Ocean Drive” is one of four tracks that will appear on Dumont’s upcoming Blasé Boys Club Part 1 EP, which is due out October 2.

“I have one goal for my music, and that’s five, ten years down the line, it still has a bit of soul to it, Dumont told Idolator last fall. “Hopefully it can stand the test of time. It’s not necessarily financial. Selling a lot of records is a great feeling, but it’s not at the top of my priorities.”

Peek at the tracklist for the EP, as well as Duke Dumont’s upcoming North American tour dates, below.
