Watch Ryan Adams Cover Taylor Swift’s “Welcome To New York” On ‘Kimmel’

Taylor Swift‘s “Welcome To New York” is a grating piece of fairy tale fluff. It is far from 1989‘s high point. However, Ryan Adams, who is responsible for one of the best NYC anthems of the last 20 years, breathed life into it for his 1989 covers album, mainly by stripping it of some of its cheerleader verve. And last night (October 19), Adams performed his version of the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live for Kimmel’s first Brooklyn episode of the week.
