The roster of performers for the May 20 Billboard Music Awards is getting larger by the week. Previously, Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, The Wanted, LMFAO and Cee Lo Green had been announced as artists who will take the stage at the event, which is being held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. And today the lineup expanded even further with the additions of Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Linkin Park and Nelly Furtado. Curiously absent from the performers (so far) is Adele, who has stands to win the most this year.
Adele has a total of 18 nods, making her the Billboard Music Awards finalist with the most. She’s just ahead of LMFAO, who have 17, and Rihanna, who has 13. Who knows — maybe Adele learned her lesson after trying to clear airport security with six Grammys, and decided to sit this one out?
The awards gig is scheduled to air live May 20 on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
