Kanye West Is The Executive Producer Of Rihanna’s Upcoming Album
Rihanna and Kanye West have collaborated plenty of times over the past few years (2009’s “Run This Town,” 2010’s “All Of The Lights,” 2012’s “Diamonds” remix, etc.), but now the artists are taking their musical relationship to the next level! At the 2015 Grammys last night (February 8), the rapper revealed to Ryan Seacrest that he is the executive producer of the Bad Gal’s forthcoming album!
He also explained their “FourFiveSeconds” collaboration was all Rihanna’s idea: “I’m executive producing Rihanna’s album. I played her my album. And I said, ‘I got a few songs with Paul McCartney. She couldn’t get past the record [‘FourFiveSeconds’]. She had to have it on her album.” The folky tune caught many off guard, but judging from these previous snippets, #R8 could include a wide range of rhythms. No one could really predict what West has up his sleeve.
