Emmie Lichtenberg‘s life is one big slumber party, and if you’re lucky — like ASTR‘s Zoe recently was — you get to crash it. The “Blue Hawaii” singer hit up Myspace’s web series Slumber Party @ emmieshouse to talk (what else?) late-night massages and favorite pizza toppings…and that was all before the game of Truth Or Dare began.

Zoe eventually wound up blindfolded and put to the task of guessing the flavor of Warhead candies. She also confessed her crush on hip hop heartthrob Drake and…well, you know what — what happens at slumber parties should stay at slumber parties. So just watch all the pajama-fueled action above and see for yourself! More »

Bastille’s “Bad News” Video: Watch The Ominous Clip

With their upcoming EP Oblivion on the way, British indie pop band Bastille has dropped their latest eerie number “Bad News,” which now has a similarly peculiar video to go along with it.

The clips takes us on a dizzying journey through a kaleidoscope of old images, cartoons, and creepy mouths singing the song’s lyrics. The band’s frontman Dan Smith walks down different corridors, as grainy, dimly-lit footage slips in and out and the visual becomes more and more uncomfortable and perplexing by the second. Nevertheless, it’s seems almost impossible to tear your eyes away. More »

Troye Sivan Makes Impressive Top 5 Debut On Album Chart With ‘TRXYE’ EP

Who Is Troye?
Here are 10 fun facts about rising YouTube star Troye Sivan. Read More »

Aussie actor/singer/songwriter Troye Sivan has made a little go quite a long way with TRXYE. Today it was revealed that the five-song EP, which contains the 19-year-old’s breakout hit “Happy Little Pill,” landed at #5 in its first week on the Billboard 200. That chart position, plus the fact that TRXYE sold 30,000 copies out of the gate, is pretty astounding considering that it only went on sale last Friday (rather than the traditional music industry standard release day of Tuesday in the States). Nearly a week later, Sivan’s EP is still hanging out in the Top 10 on iTunes.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, the Guardians Of The Galaxy tie-in compilation Awesome Mix Vol. 1 hangs out in the top spot for a second consecutive week, while another soundtrack, Disney’s Frozen, slides all the way back up to #3 after being reduced in price on iTunes. More »

After weeks of relentless teasing with her rather controversial cover art, the bonkers lyric video and “interesting” photos of her giving a lap dance to none other than fellow YMCMB member Drake, Nicki Minaj has finally unleashed her video for the Sir Mix A Lot-sampling single “Anaconda” and, boy, is it a doozy.

Directed by Colin Tilley, the clip is exactly what you’d expect (and more) from the cheeky twerk anthem: Scantily-clad girls shaking their butts in the steamy jungle, Nicki “working out” in a pink thong and then giving Drake that much-anticipated lap dance of a lifetime. Trust me when I say this: Absolutely nothing was the same after that.

Our own Robbie Daw thought the visual was simply something we’ve seen time and time again: “Finally we see the big money shot: Nicki giving Drake a lapdance. This is probably the part where everyone is supposed to be tent-poling in their shorts and rubbing their nipples with pencil erasers. Except this whole thing is pretty limp, and we’ve seen it all before. The video will at least get lots of YouTube views, which should ensure ‘Anaconda’ won’t tank as hard as ‘Pills N Potions’ did. So goal achieved. Yay?”

But what did the rest of the music world have to say? Here is our round up of some reviews across the interweb below. More »

Shirtless Ice Bucket Challenge stud Calvin Harris first alerted us all about his “Summer” follow-up single “Blame” way back in early June. And, lo and behold, we all blinked, summer (and “Summer”) practically flew by and here we are ever closer to the August 25 premiere date for the new track.

“Blame” features UK soul singer John Newman, who was kind of the next big thing until Sam Smith swooped in and stole all the “male version of Adele” thunder to be had. Still, Calvin is on a hotter streak than ever, with “Summer” having recently become his first Top 10 hit in the US to feature the Scottish DJ/producer’s own vocals — so perhaps bigger things are still in store for Newman?

Give a listen below to the Instagram tease of “Blame” that Calvin Harris just posted. More »

My Everything is shaping up to be exactly that, isn’t it Arianators?

“Break Free” pop princess Ariana Grande is in a giving mood apparently, because she’s decided to stream 4 full songs from her upcoming sophomore LP, which is due out in less than a week.

Already, there’s a lot to love here, from her piano-led power ballad “A Little Bit Of Your Heart” to the marching Benny Blanco and Ryan Tedder-crafted anthem “Why Try,” to the slick throwback R&B stylings of the Cashmere Cat-assisted “Be My Baby.” Best, though, might be “Love Me Harder,” the Max Martin and Savan Kotecha-crafted “Love Me Harder,” featuring The Weeknd, an irresistibly smooth synth-pop production.
