Carrie Underwood's 'Jimmy Fallon' Interview
The pregnant country-pop princess appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to chat with the host and perform her new single.

Carrie Underwood is kicking off 2015 with a bang — a bang bang, actually — with her “Little Toy Guns.”

After washing away the pain with her inspirational, Grammy Award-nominated “Something In The Water,” the country diva is pulling the trigger on her next selection from her 2014 greatest hits compilation, Greatest Hits: Decade #1.

The emotional track, which chronicles a tough situation at home between warring parents and a terrified child, was co-written alongside Hillary Lindsey and Chris DeStefano. “So excited to announce my new single, ‘Little Toy Guns’. Hope you love this song as much as I do!” she wrote on Instagram along with the single art, which features the songstress looking solemn in front of lyrics scrawled in the background.

Are you excited for “Little Toy Guns” to be Carrie’s next single? Check out the single art and listen to the track after the jump, and let us know your comments below. More »

Nick Carter Discusses Backstreet Boys Documentary ‘Show ’Em What You’re Made Of’: Idolator Interview

TLC Interview
TLC Interview
We talk to the ladies about their upcoming album & their enduring legacy.

The biggest-selling boy band of all time, Backstreet Boys have never been more honest and revealing about where they are in their now 22-year-long career than in their new documentary, Show ’Em What You’re Made Of. Opening in theaters (and also available on iTunes and VOD) on Friday, January 30, the documentary paints a revealing picture of AJ, Howie, Nick, Brian and Kevin’s lives onstage and off, as they reminisce, write music and prep for the 2013 release of both their album, In a World Like This, and subsequent reunion tour.

Through vintage footage, unguarded moments and more access to the band than has ever been available before, Show ’Em What You’re Made Of is a record of where the BSBs have been, where they’re going and why we still love them so very much.

We stopped fanning out long enough to grill Nick Carter on staying passionate about music, keeping five alpha male egos in check and a zombie Western movie he’s written for himself. More »

Marina And The Diamonds‘ fourth buzz track (or her Froot of the Month) is here, and it is a stunner! Titled “I’m A Ruin,” the mid-tempo song finds the Welsh singer reflecting on life and how she’s been loving selfishly: “I know that I can’t have it all/ But without you I’m afraid I’ll fall.” The tense vocals are backed by lush, throwback synths and hard-hitting drums.

“I’m A Ruin” is off Marina And The Diamonds’ forthcoming third studio LP Froot (out April 3), which includes tracks like “Happy,” “Immortal” and — of course — the quirky title track. Along with the new album, the singer will take the stage at some of the year’s biggest music festivals: SXSW, Coachella and NYC’s Governors Ball. Madonna Plays A Drinking Game, Talks Music Leaks And Taylor Swift In Australian ‘Today’ Interview

Drink Up!
Madonna's Hacker's Arrest
Madonna's Hacker's Arrest
An Israeli hacker was arrested for reportedly stealing Madonna's personal computer and leaking the Rebel Heart demos.

“This is not going to be your average interview, K? We’re going to play a drinking game. A drinking game-uh. You are familiar with drinking, right?” And so begins what is already an iconic Madonna interview with Richard Wilkins for Australia’s Today.

The promotional campaign is just heating up for Madge’s 13th studio album Rebel Heart, and this time around, she’s having her interviewers drink a shot of tequila every time they ask a stupid question — and taking a shot for every mindblowingly amazing question she’s asked. “I’m not very drunk, but everyone who walks out of here is.”

The Queen Of Pop also talks her music leak (“I can’t begin to tell you how betrayed I felt”), her daughter Lourdes (“she’s very opinionated”), as well as pop princess like Taylor Swift. And guess what? She’s a fan of the “Blank Space” songstress. “It’s good to have princesses. It means there’s lots of pretty dresses around. I like Taylor Swift. I think she writes really catchy pop songs. Can’t get them out of my head,” she dishes. More »

Charli XCX's V magazine outtakes show a softer side to the UK singer.

Sugoi, desu ne?

Rule-breaking pop hottie Charli XCX‘s brand of cool simply can’t be limited by language barriers, which is why she’s decide to re-record her two big hits in Japanese for the Japan release of her sophomore record, Sucker.

The “Doing It” songstress has put a very J-Pop-friendly spin on both “Boom Clap” and “Break The Rules,” alternating between English and Japanese. Her pronunciation is actually pretty solid, too! Intriguingly, this isn’t Charli’s first flirtation with the idea of Japanese pop music: In an interview with Time before the release of her album, she said that her next album will “be heavily inspired by Japanese pop music” and will sound “intensely weird and childlike.”

Twin Shadow Serves Serious Fringe On The Cover Of New LP ‘Eclipse’: See The Full Tracklist

After releasing two critically-acclaimed albums on independent labels (2010′s Forget and 2012′s Confess), Twin Shadow signed with Warner Bros last year. He wasted no time putting the finishing touches on his third LP Eclipse — unveiling the cover and tracklist of Eclipse today (January 27). The artwork is a dramatic affair with George Lewis Jr. (his real name) channeling Freddie Mercury in the black-and-white portrait.

The album includes excellent buzz singles “To The Top” and “Turn Me Up,” which showcase the breadth of Twin Shadow’s sound. The former is an 80′s-influenced pop/rock anthem with a soaring, lighters-in-the-air chorus that should have been a massive radio hit, while the latter only allows a fleeting glimpse of the artist’s newfound pop sensibility. Eclipse drops on March 17. See the full tracklist and watch George’s shadowy a cappella performance after the jump. More »

Janet Jackson Could Be The Next Legendary Diva With A Las Vegas Residency

Janet Jackson's Rare Public Appearance
Janet Jackson's Rare Public Appearance
Janet Jackson visited children at a refugee camp in Syria with husband Wissam Al Mana.

Spare a thought for Janet Jackson fans. Seven years have already passed since her last studio LP, 2008′s underrated Discipline, and the legendary diva recently shut down rumors that she was embarking on a comeback. Instead, the pop pioneer is devoting her time to charitable causes and married life with billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana. There could, however, be some light at the end of the tunnel. The Las Vegas Sun claims Damita Jo has signed on for a mini-residency in Sin City.

According to the publication, Janet will perform at the Venetian in early spring as part of a line-up that includes fellow icons Diana Ross (she has already confirmed this) and Lionel Ritchie. There’s no other evidence to support the claim, but it’s a tantalizing prospect. The 48-year-old is still an incredible performer and a stint in Las Vegas might be the motiviation she needs to start recording again. Keep your fingers crossed and Design Of A Decade spinning on repeat. More »
