Ke$ha is back on top with Pitbull-assisted smash “Timber” but decided to squeeze in some cheeky Warrior promo by sharing a wild and wonderful live video for LP highlight “Gold Trans Am” on YouTube today (December 15). Needless to say, Lady Dolla goes hard and risks vaginal electrocution — literally — by playing with power tools.
The beard-loving diva’s music always has a rock edge when performed live and this is no exception. K$ begins the performance clinging to a metal frame before prowling the stage with her male dancers. That’s when the big boy/girl toys come out and sparks fly. Watch Ke$ha kick ass up top. More »
After the record-breaking Australian leg of The Mrs. Carter Show, Beyonce took a well-deserved break in Jamaica before embarking on the final North American dates of her world tour. The R&B icon stayed at an oceanfront villa with husband Jay Z and even enjoyed a visit from sister Solange.
What did she get up? From the pics Bey uploaded to Tumblr, it looks like she spent most of her time soaking up the Caribbean sun as well as doing some sightseeing and getting her drink on. Not that it seems to have affected her famous figure. Beyonce is in ridiculous shape — as her bikini pics prove. Has she been watching Kelly Rowland‘s Sexy Abs workout DVD? More »
Nelson Mandela passed away today (December 5) after a long battle with a severe chest infection. The much-loved humanitarian’s death sparked an immediate outpouring of grief, respect and admiration from celebrities touched by the great man’s journey and wisdom.
Beyonce, Fergie and John Legend posted photos taken with South Africa’s first black president on their social media accounts. “Thank you for all you have sacrificed to improve the lives of other human beings. Rest in peace,” wrote Mrs. Carter on Instagram. Other celebrities urged fans to show their respect by following Mandela’s example.
“Advising all my young ones that follow me to research a small piece of Nelson Mandela Life. That’s how you pay your respect,” tweeted Kendrick Lamar. Other artists like Ed Sheeran and Kelly Rowland posted quotes, while Jennifer Lopez kept it succinct: “It always seems impossible until it’s done. Rest in Peace Nelson Mandela. You will be missed.” Read more reactions after the jump. More »
Britney Spears is getting in some last minute Britney Jean promo — Yay! — as InStyle‘s January cover girl. The pop icon is a vision of loveliness in her Dior couture gown and subtle make-up. The headline promises the diva’s “most candid interview ever” but knowing Brit, she probably just talked about the weather.
Photographed by Michelangelo Di Battista, Britney strikes a slightly awkward post on the cover but she looks alive in the eyes — so that’s something. In any case, it’s good to see the 32-year-old doing some publicity. Perhaps there will be more when the Las Vegas stint kicks off in December? More »
While Britney Spears enters the next chapter of her career with a Vegas residency (no big deal), her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears launched her career on a very good note with her debut country single “How Could I Want More” — and there’s more tunes coming soon, as the younger Spears promises in an interview with Billboard that “a full album is in the works.” Excellent!
As for competition between the “Chillin’ With You” collaborators, Jamie Lynn insists there’s none: “Me and Brit, I’m sure no one believes me when I say, there is no rivalry! You have to remember that we are 10 years apart, so I always saw her as a second mom. We have fun like only sisters can, but we don’t have that young sibling rivalry. She was one of the first people to call and tell me how proud she was of the success of ["More"], so charts won’t come between me and her — never will!” Well, so much for that. More »
Sage The Gemini is one of 2013′s breakout hip-hop stars. The Bay Area MC is currently storming the charts with two hits songs — “Red Nose” and “Gas Pedal” — and even sparked a dance craze with the latter. (Think of yiking as twerking on steroids!)
No doubt, a whole new audience will be inspired to bump and grind their way across the dancefloor with new dance remixes of “Gas Pedal”. The infectious anthem has been given a house overhaul by the ever reliable Dave Aude and it’s safe bet that you’ll be hearing it in clubs throughout December. Listen after the jump. More »
