Pitbull Hits The Studio (And Stage) With Penguins In His “Celebrate” Video: Watch The Half-Animated Opus

Pit & Penguins

It’s Pitbull‘s world, we’re just living in it! The unstoppable rapper/vodka mogul/Playboy brand ambassador can now add children’s entertainer to his long list of accomplishments. Mr. Worldwide provides the theme song for new animated movie Penguins of Madagascar — a cute party jam called “Celebrate” — and hangs out with his cartoon friends in the video.

The 33-year-old begins the visual by jetting around the globe before hitting the studio to record a new song. That’s when the animated penguins arrive and wreak havoc behind the boards. From there, the unlikely gang take their man/bird act to the stage. The video is a little cheesy but super endearing. “Celebrate” will appear on Pitbull’s Globalization LP (due November 24). Is Jennifer Lopez Considering A Las Vegas Residency?

Britney Spears, Shania Twain and Celine Dion have been dazzling audiences for months (and years!) now in Las Vegas. Will Jennifer Lopez soon be following suit?

It’s purely speculation at this point, but the “Booty” pop diva was spotted living it up at Brit Brit’s Piece Of Me show and Shania’s showcase at Caesars Palace in Vegas over the weekend, which she attended alongside her manager Benny Medina, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. But was the trip purely for pleasure, or was there some business at hand behind-the-scenes?

A residency could just be a perfect match for the A.K.A. pop veteran, considering her endless run of hit singles and fiercely loyal fanbase. And, considering the fact that Celine and Shania are due to leave town soon, there are some major diva-sized stilettos to be filled — Louboutins, perhaps.

What do you think? Would you head to Vegas to see La Lopez in action? Sound off in the comments below. More »

Beyonce Is The Unexpected Queen Of Halloween: 7 Pics Of Bey-Influenced Pumpkin Carvings

Is there no end to Beyonce‘s influence? The game-changing diva, who revolutionized the music business late last year with her surprise visual album and made bangs happen all over again with her latest hairstyle, is the unexpected queen of Halloween. The Hive paved the way by sharing their amazing Bey-influenced jack-o’-lanterns but the idea soon won favor with the rest of Twitter.

Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying joined the fun — sharing his “Partition”-themed work of art with fans. As for Beyonce? Well, the 33-year-old is too busy taking flawless Instagram pics to carve a pumpkin but I’m sure she’s chuffed. The rumors about her releasing a 4-disc platinum edition of her pioneering LP in November persist, so keep your fingers it’s not just an urban legend. More »

Ricky Martin Plays Multiple Characters In His Prohibition-Themed “Adios” Video: Watch

Ricky's Back!

What’s better than one Ricky Martin? Five of them, obviously! The Latin heartthrob plays multiple characters in the prohibition-themed video for new single “Adios”. Set in a 1930s speakeasy, the Ethan Ladder-directed visual finds the 42-year-old performing on stage with a bunch of scantily-clad dancers (it’s his very own cabaret) but the real fun comes from his other roles.

There’s the creepy-moustache wearing Ricky that pours drinks behind the bar as well as policeman Ricky, bouncer Ricky and even mobster Ricky! “Adios” is the first single from the superstar’s 10th studio album (due early 2015). It will be his first full release since Musica + Alma + Sexo in 2011. Iggy Azalea And Charli XCX Are Still Conquering Clubs With “Fancy”: Listen To Jordy Dazz’s Hugely Popular Bootleg

Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX caught lightning in a bottle when the recorded “Fancy”. The summer smash topped the Billboard Hot 100 (several months ago now) but is still making waves in clubland thanks to a hugely popular bootleg from Jordy Dazz. The Dutch DJ was just using the remix in his sets but it took off when Hardwell and Tiesto started playing the heady electro-overhaul.

I’ve enjoyed a bunch of the official “Fancy” remixes but this is the wildest by far. After the first two minutes, you would be forgiven for mistaking the mix for an electro-house dub but then everything slows down and that familiar beat kicks in. From there, it’s a crazy electronic adventure that breathes new life into a song we’ve all heard several hundred times. Take a listen after the jump. More »

Gwen Stefani Revealed That Her Album Is Due In December During A Twitter Q&A

Gwen Stefani held a Twitter Q&A to promote new single “Baby Don’t Lie” last night (October 21) — it worked because the perky jam is lodged in the iTunes top 10 — and revealed some interesting tidbits to fans. Most excitingly, that her long-awaited third solo LP should drop before Christmas. “Hopefully if all goes well, sometime in Dec,” the comeback queen declared.

The flawless 45-year-old also confirmed that another No Doubt album is on the way (“we’re actually working on new music now”), said she would love to collaborate with Kendrick Lamar and declared that Jimmy Iovine has had the biggest impact on her career. Gwen also described hearing “Baby Don’t Lie” on the radio as “weird and surreal”. See her tweets after the jump. More »

Taylor Swift Shades The Hell Out Of Jamie Oliver In Hilarious “Bake It Off” Skit: Watch

Shake & Bake!

Look, just don’t come between Taylor Swift and her baking, okay? (Or her New York City.)

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver learned the hard way after challenging the 1989 pop princess to a shake it — err, bake it off in support of the UK’s ongoing star-studded Stand Up To Cancer campaign.

In the very silly clip, Jamie puts Tay’s skills to the test, and she is not having any of his antics: Seriously, the side-eye, the disgust, the refusal to remember his name…she’s a chilling diva in the kitchen! But after his cheery, bake-ified rendition of her #1 hit “Shake It Off,” Swift can’t do anything but eventually give in and give us some of her signature silly moves. That is, until she unveils the creation she’d been working on. You might want to consider a different day job now, Jamie!) Watch the two playfully bicker and bake up top. More »

It seems like everyone is jumping on the Sam Smith fan bandwagon, with the latest artist being Kelly Clarkson! The singer and new mother covered the “Restart” crooner’s smash hit, “Stay With Me,” during her concert performance in Chicago last weekend. Her vocals are already stunning, but the soulful ballad highlighted them even more.

Clarkson isn’t the first (and probably not the last) to cover Smith’s tune. Jessie J, Ed Sheeran and FKA Twigs both tried their hands at it, while Mary J. Blige joined him for a duet version. Listen to Kelly Clarkson’s rendition after the jump. More »

Rixton’s “Wait On Me” Gets A Dance Remix: Listen To The Cahill Rework

Rixton‘s catchy “Wait On Me” single has a smooth R&B-inspired flair, but the song has now been spun into a club-ready jam! Cahill (an electronic group from Liverpool, UK) remixed the boy band’s song – taking away the melodic soul away and adding an heavy bassline, ear-splitting synths and intense drops.

“Wait On Me” is the follow-up to Rixton’s breakthrough single, “Me And My Broken Heart.” Both singles are from their debut album, Let The Road - out on January 6, 2015. Take a listen to the Cahill remix after the jump. More »
