The news you’ve been waiting for is finally here, KatyCats!

After coming in with a “Roar,” loving us “Unconditionally” and riding on a “Dark Horse” with Juicy J and throwing us a “Birthday” bash, The Prism princess is returning with a surefire summer anthem: “This Is How We Do.”

Earlier this AM, Miss Perry premiered the retro video game-themed lyric video for her sparkling, Klas Åhlund & Max Martin-produced Prism uptempo jam, which puts a colorful spin on her oh-so-silly lyricism. “YO! Impress all ur homies & stay straight stuntin by learning deez lyrics to keep ur party trill,” she tweeted. Oh, that zany Katy!

Beyonce Gives “Crazy In Love” A Dramatic Makeover In Full ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Trailer: Watch

“Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh…”

Beyoncé is just full of surprises.

On Sunday, the Queen of Unannounced Visual Albums unexpectedly dropped the tantalizing teaser for the hotly anticipated film adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey, everyone and their grandma’s favorite introduction to BDSM. The brief tease also supplied us with a few notes of what sounded like a dark and mysterious reworking of her 2003 debut solo single, “Crazy In Love” — and now, we’ve got even more of the song to enjoy.

This morning, the full Fifty trailer hit the web and, steamy flirting and heavy petting aside, the clip includes an extended preview of B’s mesmerizing “Crazy In Love” re-work. Far from the upbeat pop sound of the original, the gloomy and dramatic number breathes new life into the song as King Bey seductively yelps and purrs above cinematic strings and a slow-marching drum beat, almost bringing Lana Del Rey to mind. It’s a haunting and chilly makeover — no doubt a fitting vibe for the film.

Listen to Bey work it out in the full trailer after the jump, and let us know what you think of Bey’s contribution to the S&M-themed film in the comments below. More »

Justin Bieber, more famous these days for drag racing, egging houses and making racist jokes on camera than for his music, has revealed that he’s actually been cobbling together songs for what one would assume is a new album. He did so via the time-tested news outlet of Instagram, where the tatted-up heartthrob posted a grand total of 11 new song snippets last night.

Many of them are R&B slow jams, one is a dance number, there’s a dash of reggae-lite, two are cutesy guitar-pop ballads and one prompted a certain Belieber to comment, “Fvck me Justin!!”

If you yourself would like Justin to fvck you, that’s probably not going to happen. But at least you can listen to bits of his new baby-making music below. More »

Future Hit: Sheppard’s “Geronimo” Is Almost Offensively Catchy

There’s catchy and then there’s “Geronimo”. Australian indie-pop collective Sheppard unleashed the unstoppable sing-a-long anthem at home earlier this year and scored their first number one hit (a rare feat for an independent act) and eventually sold triple platinum. The runaway smash soon caught the attention of overseas labels and the band is now a priority for Republic Records in the US.

So what makes “Geronimo” so irresistible? Well, the giddy pop anthem has hooks upon hooks and the kind of chorus that gets lodged in your head from the very first listen. It will be interesting to see if the song clicks over here but it would be unwise to bet against it. Check out the colorful “international” version of the video above and the original Australian version after the jump. More »
