TLC Interview
TLC Interview
The ladies talk to Idolator about their upcoming album and their enduring legacy.

Milo Greene stole hearts in 2012 with their self-titled, cinematically dreamy debut that included haunting jams “Autumn Tree” and “1957.”  In the wake of their success, the four lead singer/songwriters of the band — Andrew Heringer, Robbie Arnett, Marlana Sheetz and Graham Fink — challenged themselves to grow and evolve for their next record.

Out today (January 27), Control features a more driving, danceable sound that showcases each member both individually and in harmony with the others on bops like “Lie to Me,” “White Lies” and “On The Fence.”

As they’re prepping to go out on their first headlining tour, Marlana Sheetz chatted with Idolator and gave her thoughts on everything from what it’s like to be in a band with no clear leader, her surprising musical influences and her childhood dream to join the House of Dereon. More »

Lady Gaga's forthcoming new album just got even bigger — thanks to Giorgio.

Last fall, Kylie Minogue pulled an aural surprise out of her sparkly hat when she offered up the free, four-track Kylie + Garibay EP, which contained experimental pop tracks she worked on with occasional Lady Gaga producer Fernando Garibay. And according to an interview fellow knob-twiddler Giorgio Moroder has done with UK publication the Daily Star (per TV3), there are more collaborations from Garibay and Minogue to come.

Giorgio himself recently worked with Kylie, on the single “Right Here, Right Now,” which serves as the first taste of Moroder’s upcoming, feature-heavy 74 Is The New 24 LP. Catch the iconic producer’s comments about Kylie’s new music below. More »

Meghan Trainor Reportedly Hasn’t Made Any Money (Yet) Off “All About That Bass”: Morning Mix

Did You Hear?

:: Meghan Trainor‘s “All About That Bass” was (and still is) an inescapable, chart-topping hit. But according to the singer, she hasn’t seen any of the profits yet! She reportedly stated, “People think I must be rich but I’m not. I haven’t been able to make a big purchase yet but I’m working on it.” Must be rough! [The Daily Star]

:: This latest news is quite unexpected! Fall Out Boy reveal they have written tunes for One Direction‘s recent Four album, but unfortunately they never made the cut! Rocker Pete Wentz said, “There’s a certain area of odd that we can stake a place in, but it’s like we have the language of twins. Maybe it’s too odd for One Direction because they didn’t end up using the songs this time.” [Digital Spy]

:: In more shocking news, Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 has quit the group. Remaining members Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus released a statement: “We were all set to play this festival and record a new album and Tom kept putting it off without reason. A week before we were scheduled to go in to the studio we got an email from his manager explaining that he didn’t want to participate in any Blink-182 projects indefinitely, but would rather work on his other non-musical endeavors. No hard feelings, but the show must go on for our fans.” He will be temporarily replaced by Matt Skiba from fellow rock band Alkaline Trio. [Just Jared]

:: It seems like Ed Sheeran and Noel Gallagher have ended their quasi Twitter beef! After the former Oasis singer said he “couldn’t live with” the young crooner headlining shows at London’s Wembley stadium, Sheeran decided to play nice and offer him free tickets to the show. And guess what? Gallagher accepted! [NME]

Austin Mahone Addresses Album Delays, Needs More Time To Record “Incredible, Next Level, Monster Smashes”

It's Coming!
Austin Mahone's 'The Secret' EP
Austin Mahone's 'The Secret' EP
Austin Mahone unveiled the cover and tracklist of debut EP 'The Secret'. See what made the cut.

Austin Mahone‘s debut album was originally scheduled for release in October last year but it was pushed back to mid-2015. To be fair, the 18-year-old has released two EPs (including The Secret) but fans are thirsty for more and aren’t afraid to let him know it. The YMCMB signee responded to questions about the delay on Twitter and revealed that he’s still working on the opus. “I don’t wanna rush it and then put out a single that doesn’t do well,” he explained.

“I wanna take time to make sure that I have some incredible, next level, monster smashes that I can release and feel good about,” Austin continued. “And believe me I’ve got some crazy songs that are potential next singles but i want to be sure. I’m going to LA in Feb. To finish my first album once and for all.” The teen superstar’s last single “Mmm Yeah” was his highest charting song yet — reaching number 49 on the Billboard Hot 100.
