Pitbull And Bebe Rexha's Killer Collab
Pitbull and Bebe Rexha join forces on 'Globalization' highlight "This Is Not A Drill".

Pitbull is on a roll. The MC successfully hosted the American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 23) and immediately launched a promo blitz for new LP Globalization. Mr. Worldwide even had Lorde gushing. “I met pitbull backstage, felt this wave of his charisma and loveliness wash over me, probably not dissimilar to meeting the president,” she raved on Twitter. What’s next for the rap mogul? A killer performance of Dr. Luke-produced single “Time Of Our Lives” on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

There are much better songs on Globalization — check out Chris Brown-assisted earworm “Fun” or brilliant Bebe Rexha collaboration “This Is Not A Drill” — but “Time Of Our Lives” is slowly winning me over a little more with each live performance. Guest vocalist Ne-Yo did a typically incredible job with the song, while Pitbull was his usual ball of energy, bouncing around the stage like a mad man. See the suave fellas do their thing up top. Future Islands’ Breakthrough Hit “Seasons (Waiting On You)” Gets Remixed By Jazz Trio BADBADNOTGOOD

Future Islands made the leap from indie-darlings to festival headliners in 2014 thanks to the synth-pop gem “Seasons (Waiting On You)” and one hell of a performance on the Late Show With David Letterman. (The fact that their fourth LP Singles is pretty much perfect also helped). The band is celebrating their banner by releasing a staggeringly good jazz remix (!) by avant garde trio BADBADNOTGOOD. And they are even giving it away for free.

“We all love the original version of the song, and we were honored to have the opportunity to try and remix it,” BADBADNOTGOOD bass play Chester Hansen says. “We heard Sam’s isolated singing and realized how soulful and emotive it was and seemed to sound the best was re-harmonizing the chords and taking it in a soul direction.” The process? “We came up with a slow groove for the verse that let the vocals breathe, and played the chorus double time to make it more powerful. After we laid down the rhythm track, we overdubbed guitar, keys and a bunch of other parts to fill it out. Take a listen after the jump. More »

Mia Martina Teases Stills From Her “HFH” (Or “Heart Fucking Hurts”) Video: Idolator Exclusive

After building a loyal cult following with club hits “Heartbreaker”, “La La” and the Dev-assisted “Danse”, Canadian dance diva Mia Martina is gearing up to release “HFH” (or “Heart Fucking Hurts”) as her debut US single. The expletive-filled break-up anthem represents a change of direction for the 29-year-old with its raw and emotional lyrics.

“When creating ‘HFH’, I wanted to capture exactly how you feel when someone you love hurts you,” Mia tells Idolator. “I think sometimes it is really hard to express those emotions verbally, so I wanted to create a song that everyone could relate to at some point in their life. That’s why I decided to release this song first in the U.S. — it expresses a feeling that many people have experienced and I want my fans to feel relatable to me and also get to know me on a personal level.”

The club queen kindly shared some pics from the set of the “HFH” video shoot and it looks very promising. Mia looks incredible, there are mask-clad cellists and a room plastered with graffiti. Check out our exclusive stills after the jump and get acquainted with the fiery gem. More »

The onetime 'X Factor' winner has teamed up with a legendary pop producer.

When we last checked in on Mancunian singer Shayne Ward, he was recording his fourth album with producer Mike Stock (of the legendary Stock Aitken Waterman pop production team) and funding the album through Pledge Music. Two months later, Shayne has reached 124% of his goal for the LP, so roll on February! Er, actually, make that April.

In a new update posted on Pledge Music today, Ward revealed the above cover art and title for the album, Closer. He also noted that the LP’s release date has been pushed back two months, to April 13, 2015, due to his involvement in a UK musical adaptation of War Of The Worlds. (Incidentally, Shayne will co-star in War Of The World alongside another artist who worked with Mike Stock: Jason Donovan.)

One Direction Nab Second-Biggest Album Opening Of 2014 With ‘Four’

One Direction have narrowly edged Coldplay out of the runner-up spot, as far as biggest album openings of the year go. We all know that Taylor Swift is tops in 2014 with 1989 , which debuted earlier this month with 1.287 copies sold out of the gate. That left Coldplay in second place, after Ghost Stories opened with 383,000 in May. But 1D have crashed into the top spot on the Billboard 200 after selling 387,000 copies of Four last week.

That’s impressive by 2014 standards, but it’s a far cry from the 546,000 One Direction’s previous LP, Midnight Memories, started with last December. Still, the boy band now have the distinction of being the only group to have their first four albums debut at #1. Another noteworthy item: Four will be the final chart-topping album on the Billboard 200 based soley on sales. Starting next week, streams will also factor into the chart. More »

Watch Lorde, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez & more take the stage!

Lorde stopped by The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon last night (November 25) to perform her stomping tune, “Yellow Flicker Beat.” The dark-pop princess commanded the stage (similar to her AMAs performance) as she passionately sung the Hunger Games: Mockingjay soundtrack cut.

Along with her performance, the singer sat down with the talk show host to chat about her BFF Taylor Swift (who she jokingly managed for a night) and the origin of her stage name. “Well I kind of wanted something that was aristocratic and fancy,” she said about the Lorde moniker. “So I found the name ‘Lord,’ and I wanted to feminize it.”

Austin Mahone And Camila Cabello Respond To Break Up Rumors: Read The Tweets

5H Debut "Sledgehammer" Video
5H Debut "Sledgehammer" Video
Well, we've officially been slaydgehammered! Watch the video.

Fifth Harmony might be killin’ it right now with their new single “Sledgehammer,” but there’s a bit of personal drama happening behind the scenes with Camila Cabello.

Earlier in the week, pop cutie Austin Mahone confirmed that he and the 5H starlet had indeed called it quits. Only problem? The damn tabloids, of course! In an alleged exclusive, a “source” told HollywoodLife that Camila went public with her relationship with Austin too soon, which he felt was a business maneuver: “She wanted to tell people and he wanted to keep it low key. When she revealed that they were dating, he accused her of using it to sell albums and she was hurt by that and they both decided to break up.” Austin, however, is calling BS on the story.

Yesterday, the “What About Love” crooner responded to the gossip site directly on Twitter. “That’s the most ridiculous reason I’ve ever heard… Nothing like that even happened at all. Idk what source u guys talking 2,” he fired off. And it seems Camila was equally miffed by the accusation. So much so, that she’s decided to cool off on social media for a minute: “guys guys. nobody is the bad guy here and nobody deserves any hate. lots of love goodnight. with that said, im taking a little break from twitter for a couple days. i love you all so much,” she explained. It’s nice to see these two acting so cordial! (Jordin Sparks isn’t exactly dealing with her break-up the same way.) More »
