Adam Lambert Talks New Label (Yay!), Third Album (YES!) & Queen (Woo Hoo!): Watch His Interview With Ryan Seacrest

Adam Lambert Ryan Seacrest interview third album new label 2014 Queen
Adam's Got Some Great Stuff In The Works

Let’s just take a moment to acknowledge the fact that Adam Lambert truly is a rock star. Sure, he had the rock and roll swagger down pat during his stint on American Idol five years (!!) ago, and he’s got the voice, he’s released albums and had hit singles toured on his own and gotten his name into a few headlines — some of them probably unwanted, but, hey, that’s rock and roll too. But the man, now 32, spent a better part of this summer traveling the globe and fronting Queen on stage (seriously — think about that for a minute), filling the legendary shoes of Mr. Freddie Mercury. If you didn’t believe it before, you should definitely know it by now: Adam Lambert is a fucking rock star.

So here we now have a new interview with Adam, where he’s looking pretty suave in the studio with Ryan Seacrest. (Watch it above.) The important takeaways here: He’s signed a new label deal after parting ways with RCA, and he’s working on his third album with “an amazing executive producer.” More »

Eau La La!

Gaga, eau la la!

Lady Gaga‘s jet-black debut scent Fame has gone on to sell over 30 million bottles (!) since its release back in the summer of 2012, so it’s no surprise to anyone that the ARTPOP diva is back this year with a second spritz for her many loyal Little Monsters: Eau De Gaga, a unisex fragrance “where nothing is off limits.”

In the newly released Steven Klein-directed advertisement for the scent, Gaga goes into full-on glamour mode, posing and writhing with a gaggle of handsome models. (Tough life!) The visual is stunning as always, although it is more than slightly awkward to watch her get sexy to the sound of the legendary Tony Bennett crooning an old-timey classic in the background. They couldn’t use, say, “Sexxx Dreams” or something? Oh, well! Get that Cheek To Cheek promo, Gagz. More »

Michael Jackson & Queen’s “There Must Be More To Life Than This,” Mixed By William Orbit: Listen To The Previously-Unreleased Duet

At Last!

Turns out “Love Never Felt So Good” might not be the only Michael Jackson song that could have an impact on the charts this year.

Three years ago, the King Of Pop’s estate gave permission to the surviving members of legendary rock band Queen to finish production on tracks Jackson recorded in the early 1980s with the band’s frontman Freddie Mercury. Today, the first of those songs, “There Must Be More To Life Than This,” premiered on UK radio. It was reported to have been recorded by Mercury and Jackson sometime between 1982 and 1983, and the final mix of the song was done by British producer William Orbit. More »

Madonna Wants You To Think Of Oral Sex With Her Official 2015 Calendar Promo Pic

Hey, pop kiddies, remember when Madonna demonstrated how superb she was at performing oral sex on a bottle in her 1991 Truth Or Dare documentary? You know, it was the scene where she practically downed half of the hunk of glass, then tilted the bottle up in the air and, um, swallowed whatever swill was inside. Doesn’t ring a bell?

Well, that’s okay, because Madge is clearly showing a whole new generation how it’s done via the above image released to promote her official 2015 calendar (which you can order here). More »

Jennifer Lopez & Iggy Azalea’s “Booty” Video Plays Like A Decent Kylie Minogue “Sexercize” Tribute: Watch

Jennifer Lopez Iggy Azalea Booty Video
Girls Just Want To Have Fun

The first thing that comes to mind while watching Jennifer Lopez‘s “Booty” video is: Didn’t Kylie Minogue do this first, earlier this year, with her “Sexercize” clip? The lesbianism. The water-drenched wetness. The intense grinding, shaking and twerking. Minogue popped her own booty through all of that visual territory back in March, no?

Even that gold, super scoop-neck, barely-there number JLo is wearing as a top around the 0:58 mark calls to mind Kylie’s hooded white jumpsuit in her 2001 “Cant’ Get You Out Of My Head” video. So, maybe Lopez and her newly-added “Booty” partner Iggy Azalea were going for a full-on Minogue tribute? If that’s the case, then we we say brava, ladies — keep those pert and curvy derriere’s arched proudly in the air! More »

Ricky Martin Returns With World Music-Flavored Single “Adios” On September 23

Ricky Martin will release a new single called “Adios” on September 23. The tantalizing track was penned by Jesse Shatkin (he co-wrote Sia‘s “Chandelier”), Latin rapper Yotuel Romero and Japanese/Spanish flamenco virtuoso Antonio Rayo. That multi-cultural line-up is apparently reflected in the song’s world music-flavored sound.

“Adios” is the first single from Ricky’s 10th studio album, which is set for an early 2015 release. (I guess that means “Come With Me” and “Adrenalina” didn’t make the cut). “We chose [the song] because it represents who I am today,” the heartthrob explains. “The title is a reference to the opening of another cycle.” The 42-year-old’s last LP Musica + Alma + Sexo was released in 2011. Aretha Franklin Covers Adele, Whitney Houston & Alicia Keys On New Divas-Themed Concept Album

Aretha Franklin is releasing her 39th studio LP on September 30. Wait… what? The news comes as a surprise because the queen of soul is kind of ‘doing a Beyonce‘ — the album isn’t a total secret but details are heavily guarded. Clive Davis, who is overseeing production for Arista Records, did, however, shed some light on the tantalizing project for Billboard.

For starters, it’s a concept album. Aretha will cover classic songs by fellow divas including Adele, Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, Alicia Keys, Etta James and Diana Ross. “[The diva's] new album is purely and simply sensational,” Clive says of the unexpected opus. “She’s on fire and vocally in absolutely peak form. What a thrill to see this peerless artist still showing the way, still sending shivers up your spine, still demonstrating that all contemporary music needs right now is the voice.” My iPod is ready.
