Austin Mahone Joins Pia Mia On A Soulful Cover Of Craig David’s “Fill Me In”: Listen

It’s not easy to make the leap from buzzed-about social media siren to legit pop star but Pia Mia takes another giant stride towards her end goal with “Fill Me In”. The 18-year-old, who came to fame covering hits on YouTube, has already released a bunch of cute urban-pop songs (“Red Love” and “Mr. President”) but her latest track displays a new level of maturity.

The Guam-born diva tackles Craig David‘s 2000 debut single “Fill Me In” — with a little help from Austin Mahone, no less — and she makes it her own with confident vocals and slick production courtesy of Nic Nac (the dude behind Chris Brown‘s “Loyal”). Pia’s debut LP is set to drop later this year via Interscope Records. Listen to her killer cover after the jump. More »

Miriam Bryant’s New Single Is Really, Really Good: Listen To “Dragon”

Given the quality of voice and knack for writing catchy pop songs, you can’t help but think Miriam Bryant is a couple of lucky breaks away from cracking America like fellow Swede Tove Lo. The 23-year-old came close a couple of times — Zedd collaboration “Push Play” was, at one point, going to be the follow up to “Clarity” — but she might have more luck with new single “Dragon”.

The first taste of the rising diva’s sophomore LP is a heady dose of Scandinavian electro-pop with a chorus that soars despite the confusing lyrics. (“I’ll be your dragon tonight” sounds more like a threat than a declaration of love!) Not that it matters. “Dragon” showcases the full range of Miriam’s powerful pipes and the song gets stuck in your head regardless of the Game Of Thrones-evoking subject matter. Listen after the jump. Jennifer Lopez And Iggy Azalea’s “Booty” Video Is Glorious Soft Porn: Here Are The 16 Sexiest Moments

If you’re going to put out a song about ass, you’d better be prepared to show a little. Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea, however, go above and beyond with their eye-popping “Booty” visual. The bottom-heavy babes spend most of the clip shaking their butts and groping each other in various states of undress, which makes it potentially the greatest lesbian soft porn extravaganza of all time.

To commemorate this magical achievement, I’ve lovingly — after considerable research and several replays — curated a gallery of the video’s sexiest moments. Who will ever forget when the rap diva smacks J.Lo’s butt or Jenny’s temperature-raising solo at the end? It’s like the finale of Flashdance only a million times hotter. Peruse the pics up top and rewatch the clip after the jump. More »

Milky Chance Take A Trip To The Country In “Flashed Junk Mind”: Watch The Idyllic Video

We Were Bound To The City Life

While Milky Chance continue to climb the Billboard Hot 100 with breakthrough hit “Stolen Dance” (it rises to a new peak of number 61 this week), the German duo has already moved on to their next single in most international markets. It looks like they are going with endearing folk-pop gem “Flashed Junk Mind” and today (September 19) they drop the suitably nostalgic video.

Philipp and Clemens take a trip to the country with a bunch of friends and spend the clip climbing rocks, walking through forests, riding motorcycles and hanging out of cars. It’s joyous and idyllic but there’s still an undercurrent of melancholy that suits the lilting song. Milky Chance drop their excellent debut LP Sadnecessary on October 14 in the US. Pitbull Brings Carnival To A Club In His Super Suave “Fireball” Video: Watch Mr. Worldwide Charm The Ladies

Move Over James Bond

At this point, I don’t even consider Pitbull a guilty pleasure anymore. His club bangers are always on point, he’s the Sonny to J.Lo‘s Cher and “Timber” will go down in pop history as the greatest square dance-inducing rap song of all time. He gets it just right on new Wallpaper-produced, John Ryan-assisted party jam “Fireball” too. What a legend.

So what can you expect from Mr. Worldwide’s latest video? Well, it’s set in the ’20s or ’30s (if the dapper costumes are any indication) and brings Brazilian carnival to a small nightclub, where Pit drinks his own brand of vodka — great promo! — and runs into the sexy lady of his dreams. There’s even a live animation segment. Watch the amiable rapper do his thing up top. More »

Fergie Is Officially Back! Listen To A Snippet Of Comeback Single “L.A. Love (La La)”

Comeback Queen!

And she’s back! Fergie unveiled the first taste of comeback single “L.A. Love (La La)” today (September 19) and it’s already glaringly obvious that she has an infuriatingly catchy smash on her hands. The 1:45 snippet sounds like a loop of a much shorter clip — she literally just repeats city names and says “la la la la” — but I don’t care if she spends the whole song selecting random towns from an Atlas.

There’s not much else to take from the mysterious preview, which premiered during a fashion show in Milan. The 39-year-old’s voice is on point and she rides the bouncy hip-hop beat with ease. It’s basically The Dutchess 2.0, which is exactly what her fans have been waiting for. Production details haven’t been released yet but it sounds like a Mike WiLL Made It or DJ Mustard joint to me. Jessie J Is Red Hot On The Cover Of “Burnin’ Up”: Listen To A Snippet Of Her New Single

Jessie J staged one of the year’s most unexpected yet very welcome comebacks with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj-assisted smash “Bang Bang”. The unstoppable anthem was a timely reminder of the diva’s incredible vocal prowess and she’s going to run with the momentum by swiftly moving on to “Burnin’ Up” — the second taste of new LP Sweet Talker.

Produced by red-hot hitmakers Wallpaper and Axident, “Burnin’ Up” sounds like a nuclear-powered club-banger with major radio appeal. “I got a fever tell me what did you do, temperature risin’ when I look at you,” sing/howls the Brit over slick beats in a snippet that appeared on her Instagram account today (September 19). Can’t wait to hear 2 Chainz‘s verse! Check it out after the jump More »

Shayne Ward Is Working With Producer Mike Stock On His Next Album, And We’re Pretty Excited About That

Let’s be clear about one thing: Shayne Ward‘s sophomore album, 2007′s Breathless, is a highly underrated beacon of pop perfection. Written and produced primarily by Rami Yacoub (with some additional help from Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, Savan Kotecha and a smattering of other heavyweights), the album was somewhat of UK success that spawned hits in Manchester native Ward’s home country like “No U Hang Up,” “If That’s OK With You” and title track “Breathless.”

If you’re not up on Ward (as many in the States likely aren’t), he was the winner of the second season of The X Factor UK, back in 2005, and was signed to Simon Cowell‘s label Syco. Unfortunately for Shayne, Cowell was pretty tied up with his American TV dealings, and so a good three years passed between Breathless and the release of the singer’s third album, Obsession. After poor sales, Ward was released from his label deal in 2011. Upon this, the handsome crooner tweeted, “1 door closed, A Thousand more will open.” More »

‘Queen Forever’ Compilation Tracklist Revealed, As Are William Orbit’s Thoughts On The Michael Jackson/Freddie Mercury Duet

With the Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson duet “There Must Be More To Life Than This” now out there, the full details of the upcoming compilation Queen Forever (out November 10) have also now been revealed. The release will include a 20-track single album version, as well as a 36-track two-disc version. In addition to all the hits included (some of which are “new takes on well-known songs,” per a press release) are the duet with Jackson as produced by William Orbit, a previously unfinished Queen track (with Freddie Mercury) called “Let Me In Your Heart Again” and a new, stripped-down rendition of Mercury’s 1984 Giorgio Moroder collaboration from the Metropolis soundtrack, “Love Kills.” More »

Iggy Azalea Teases New Charli XCX Collaboration “Beg For It” In London: Watch

I-G-G-Y & Charli, Part Two?

Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX already delivered the song of Summer ’14 with “Fancy.” Are they about to do it all over again in the second half of the year?

During the tail end of I-G-G-Y’s showcase in London on Wednesday night, the Aussie femcee offered a small taste of a brand new Charli collabo called “Beg For It.” And, based on what we’ve heard so far, it seems like “Fancy” is officially getting a sequel.

“Can’t play with ya, I been busy working bae!” Iggy raps along the bass-heavy beat. And, just like “Fancy,” Charli comes in to provide a sing-along friendly chant. “I’m out here with my friends/I’mma make you beg, I’mma make you beg for it!”

It certainly sounds like a smash already. But is the track too similar to “Fancy,” or will the duo be two for two on top of the charts with this one?

Listen to the “Beg For It” teaser after the jump, and let us know what you think in the comments below. More »
