Now that Brazil has been placed under the same file-sharing scrutiny as the rest of the world, we can't think of a better time to give the country its own "Listen Without Prejudice" write-up. Alas, our Brazilian collection is a bit lacking, so we'll have to focus on Soul Jazz's excellent Sexual Life Of The Savages collection, which chronicles São Paulo's new-wave and post-punk scene in the early '80s. Check out two of our favorite tracks below, and make sure to click here if you get lost in translation:
As Mercenarias - Inimigo [MP3, link expired]
Gang 90 - Jack Kerouac [MP3, link expired]
The Sexual Life Of Savages [Soul Jazz Records]

Comments
Gang 90, not bad.
