Nick Jonas is an exceedingly good sport. We know this because he spent a couple of minutes guessing pop star bulges in the name of promotion. Well, he might have topped that. The “Jealous” hitmaker was asked to play Lips, Wife And Leave — the polite version of ever-popular party game Fuck, Marry, Kill — on UK radio station Capital FM and played along. Despite the options being long-time friend Demi Lovato and ex-love interests Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus.
“Demi, obviously wife, because we’re like brother and sister and friends,” Nick admitted. “I’d prefer to spend life with her, as opposed to the others.” I’m not sure if that’s just candid or shady, but fair enough either way. And the diva he would prefer to make out with? That honor goes to Selena. That leaves poor Miley as the girl he’d rather excise from his life altogether. He did have some words of consolation, though. “I’ve got love for Miley. She’s great.” See the interview after the jump. More »
Demi Lovato is the realest diva in pop. When she’s not promoting mental health, the “Neon Lights” hitmaker is correcting irresponsible commentary on eating disorders (Lady Gaga and Meghan Trainor have both been schooled). The 22-year-old’s latest social justice endeavor is starting a #NoMakeupMonday hashtag on Instagram. She kicked off the movement by posting a stunning selfie that highlights her flawless skin. Devonne By Demi must really work!
“Let’s start a new Twitter/Instagram trend: #NoMakeupMonday,” she wrote. “Why? Cause we deserve to show the world our beauty and our confidence!!!” It’s not the first time Demi has forgone make-up on social media. The best-selling author posted several natural pics on Insta over the last few days, which is proof that she practices what she preaches. Demi Lovato evidently must have been trading notes with her X Factor USA pal Britney Spears, because the “Neon Lights” diva is following in the footsteps of Brit Brit’s Twister Dance 2012 collaboration with a partnership of her own.
Last night, the “Really Don’t Care” songbird tweeted a brief teaser about the forthcoming pairing to come in 2015. “SO excited to share I’m teaming up with @HasbroNews and #Twister in 2015! More details soon. Get ready to move ,” she wrote. The outspoken singer, who also graces the cover of the January 2015 issue of Fitness Magazine, is no stranger to encouraging a healthy mental and physical lifestyle, and twisting ’round with friends is clearly a Demi-approved fun activity. Plus, she’s got an album on the way for 2015 too! Between this upcoming deal and her brand new skincare line Devonne by Demi, Demi is certainly becoming quite the entrepreneur. More »
Demi Lovato thanked her fans for their support in 2014 by dropping a belated video for “Nightingale” on Christmas Eve.
The black-and-white clip shows Lovato performing the song live during this year’s Demi World Tour, plus moments in between live sets: the traveling, the workout sessions and, of course, the encounters with devoted Lovatics along the way. (This includes a long kiss with actor boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama.) These scenes, set to the triumphant Demi ballad, make all of her hard work seem worthwhile. More »
Oh boy, did the shade run rampant this year in music! Blame social media or blame the artistic ego, but whatever the reason, we got our fair share of beef happening in the streets. Sometimes it’s fun to witness — especially when it comes down to picking sides. But what happens when two of your favorites are going toe-to-toe with the insults? Whatever do you do? Events like the recent Diddy/Drake drama (who are apparently fighting over the reportedly stolen “0 To 100″ track) got us thinking about all the other beefs that ran through this year!
The more famous feuds involved the dueling of prominent pop stars, so chances are you felt torn at least once this year when it came down to the now infamous brawls. Regardless of the side you were on, you were at the very least entertained. So we at Idolator have compiled a list of 15 Shade-Fests-slash-Beefs from 2014. From sassy pop divas to hip-hop legends, there was a ton of erratic behavior going on. You know you loved it all, though (and so did we). Check out our shadiest picks below! More »
Demi Lovato shut down a hater on Twitter this morning (December 19) faster than you can say “delete it fat.” The 22-year-old seemd out of sorts and cryptically tweeted: “Really sucks how expectant people can be these days.. Not need to cause a scene or be pushy.” It was unclear if she was talking about the media or overenthusiastic fans, but she sensed her comments would spark a reaction and added: “Cue the hate but idgaf.”
“Bitches be fickle as fuck,” she continued as the usual internet scum piped up, making offensive comments about her weight. (They obviously haven’t noticed how ridiculously hot she looks at the moment… but that really isn’t the point). “Shut up fatty dont choke on ur mcdonalds!” one hater waged before being scalped in one of the best Twitter comebacks in recent memory. It’s safe to say that Olly Murs and Demi Lovato will have a massive UK hit on their hands when “Up” drops January 4, 2015. The emotional duet has slick pop/rock production and a massive chorus that aptly showcases the duo’s powerful pipes. It sounds just as good, if not better, stripped back to basics. The unlikely pair unveiled an acoustic version of the track today (December 19), which features on the Brit’s upcoming Up EP.
Olly and Demi also treated fans to a simple black-and-white video of their performance. It finds the heartthrob, who recently stripped off for Attitude magazine, and the grande dame of Disney doing their thing in the studio. The focus is on their impressive, underrated vocals, which helps you appreciate “Up” on a whole new level. The track is the second single from the 28-year-old X Factor star’s cockily-titled fourth LP Never Been Better. Watch up top. More »
Well damn, Demetria!
Demi Lovato is pulling all sorts of fierce poses in fabulously futuristic outfits for an upcoming fashion shoot for Allure.
“We wanted it to be super natural — show my skin, show my freckles,” the “Neon Lights” goddess explains in a behind-the-scenes clip from the shoot, going into detail about her skincare regimen. (If you’ll recall, she did recently launch her skincare line, Devonne by Demi.)
She also discusses what makes her feel sexy: Wearing no make-up, and showing off her ass…ets. “It’s my butt! I love my butt. Hopefully it stays that way,” she chuckles. She also unexpectedly throws Kim Kardashian some love for changing the conversation about beauty standards in popular culture: “Say whatever you want about her, but she has revolutionized what is accepted with curves nowadays,” Demi explains. That she most certainly has! More »
Straight after the release of their “Up” duet, Olly Murs and Demi Lovato now have a visual to accompany it! The shadowy clip finds the pair brooding in bare rooms, as they are separated by a brick wall. But that soon comes crashing down when Murs goes at it with his electric guitar. It is a tense and emotional video that goes along well with the soaring ballad.
“Up” is the second single off Olly Murs’ fourth studio album, Never Been Better (released on November 24 in the UK). It follows tracks like “Wrapped Up” and “Right Place, Right Time”. The 28-year-old British X Factor star is also planning to drop a free Christmas EP, titled Unwrapped. Look out for the four-track set on December 12 exclusively on Google Play. More »
