Hold up! Demi Lovato ain’t done with 2014 just yet.
Even though she’s heading out to the UK to jump on tour with Enrique Iglesias and already begun recording for an upcoming studio album due out in 2015, Demetria’s got a special treat in time for the holidays for you, Lovatics.
The Demi repackage will include her Target bonus track “I Hate You, Don’t Leave Me” (which is available immediately upon pre-order), as well as the previously unreleased “Up” with Olly Murs and her version of Frozen anthem “Let It Go,” plus live recordings of her Ed Sheeran cover “Give Me Love,” “Nightingale” and “Really Don’t Care.” The album will also come with an exclusive message to the Lovatics.

Nick Jonas has been grabbing our attention for several months now, ever since he dropped “Chains” and “Jealous,” a pair or impeccable pop singles from his upcoming self-titled album, and dropped his pants for Flaunt magazine. As for Demi Lovato, well — she might just be the coolest girl in pop.
So consider us more than excited that Nick has followed in older brother Joe Jonas‘ footsteps by pairing up with Demi for a duet. “Avalanche” finds the two taking the parts of lovers in an emotional freefall, detailing the aftermath of their breakup. Ballads and big-name collaborations can sometimes be a snooze, but this track a prime example of how you go about making a perfect duet. Take a listen after the jump! More »
Here’s some great news to brighten your Monday. Demi Lovato has already started work on her fifth studio album! “She’s finishing up right now on the last leg of her touring for this year,” her manager told Billboard. “Then the plan is for her to go back into the studio and start the next creative process. She’s already done some songs, but certainly the majority of it will kick off next year.”
I guess this kills those rumors that the pop diva is planning to re-release her current LP with a couple of high-profile duets. Demi has been a particularly successful era for the 22-year-old. It produced three top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 (“Heart Attack”, “Neon Lights” and Cher Lloyd collaboration “Really Don’t Care”) and proved popular around the globe — charting in most major European markets.
“We’re really excited,” Disney Music Group present Ken Bunt told the music bible. “We’ve got a new album coming from her next year. We’re not talking about release dates yet. And she’s going to continue her world tour throughout next year.” It will be interesting to see how Demi’s next era fares in comparison to former Disney divas Selena Gomez and Zendaya, who both have new music due in 2015. Aside from her chart-topping smashes like “Give Your Heart A Break,” “Heart Attack” and “Skyscraper,” Queen Demi Lovato is also known for her outspokenness, frequently opening up about everything from sexuality to body image to feminism — and this week is certainly no exception.
Her good friend Taylor Swift‘s been getting plenty of both praise and heat lately for her recent 1989 offerings like “Out Of The Woods,” which led her to speak out about what she considered to be “sexist” criticism for writing about her ex-boyfriends — and it seems that Demi’s in agreement with Tay.
In an interview with ET Canada, the “Neon Lights” singer backed up her friend, going on to say that Taylor’s one of the very few famous friends she has that has yet to be affected by fame. Check out Demi’s full comments after the jump. More »
Last year Restless Road formed on the US version of The X Factor, under the guidance of Simon Cowell. The country-pop trio wound up in fourth place by the end of the series’ third season, and earlier this month, they found themselves reuniting with onetime X Factor judge Demi Lovato by opening for her and Christina Perri in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Moline, Illinois.
“Being able to perform on the same stage as Demi and Christina in itself was an amazing experience,” the guys tell Idolator. “We’re huge fans of both of their work. But going into the tour, we weren’t sure how a pop audience would receive our music with us being a country-rooted act. But as soon as we started performing, the crowd immediately started getting into it and having a good time.”
Today we’re premiering a gallery of exclusive backstage photos from their shows with Demi and Christina that the guys provided us, which you can flip through above. (You might notice that a new member, Jared Keim, has replaced Colton Lane Pack since the band were on The X Factor.) And below, is a short Q&A with did with the three of them — Jared, Andrew Scholz and Zachary Beeken — where they discuss their upcoming album and some of their biggest music influences. More »
Super fans (well, Lovatics and Azaleans), the moment you’ve been waiting for is finally here: The footage from VEVO’s first-ever Certified SuperFanFest has arrived!
As announced last month, Demi Lovato and Iggy Azalea hit the stage during the digital streaming service’s first-ever celebration of fans on October 8 at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. And judging from the footage, the ladies pulled out all the stops for their performances in front of some of their biggest fans. More »
Sorry, fellas: Demi Lovato is officially off the market.
While performing in Illinois over the weekend, Demetria spotted a certain suitor in the audience (thanks to his homemade sign), and invited him onto the stage. But who is the lucky guy? A 5-year-old Lovatic named Grant, who had a very special request for the “Neon Lights” pop princess.
Although a bit shaky with his delivery (he forgot he’s 5!), Grant was ready to pop the big question. “Before you do it, do you know how to propose to somebody?” Queen Demi advised as she showed the little boy how to bend down on one knee and helping him out with the question. “Demi, will you marry me?” the little one asked, prompting the entire venue to unleash an earth-shattering squeal.
But did she say yes? Prepare all your “AWWWW!“-ing in advance and watch the proposal up top. More »
Iggy Azalea and Demi Lovato provided the entertainment for the first ever Vevo CERTIFIED SuperFanFest in Santa Monica, California last night (October 8). In addition to performing all their big hits to an arena full of fans, the chart-conquering superstars were also honored with awards for dropping videos that have racked up 100,000,000+ views.
The Australian rapper achieved the rare feat with Charli XCX-assisted smash “Fancy”, while the Disney diva did the same with 2013 top 10 hit “Heart Attack”. Given the view count on “Black Widow” and “Neon Lights”, it’s only a matter of time before they do it again. Peruse pics from the evening up top. Pay particular attention to Iggy’s killer outfits and Demi’s sick fade! More »
You haven’t lived until you’ve seen Demi Lovato‘s Cher impression. Ok, that’s hyperbole but it’s really, really funny and will most likely brighten your day. The “Really Don’t Care” hitmaker sat down with tour-mate Christina Perri for an Instagram Q&A yesterday (October 1) and someone had the genius idea of asking her to impersonate the pop legend.
Demi didn’t skip a beat and immediately started singing the enduring diva’s 1998 chart-topper “Believe”. The result is comedy gold as the 22-year-old gets Cher’s deep voice just right and even throws in some familiar hand gestures. Almost as funny is the look of amusement/mortification on Christina’s face. Watch the magic moment after the jump. More »
Start shaking and crying Camp Rock enthusiasts, because this is real and happening: Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas reunited on stage last night!
Six whole years after the duo first co-starred together on their smash Disney Channel original movie, the superstars came together once again to perform their Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit, “This Is Me,” during Demi’s World Tour stop in Los Angeles last night.
After Demi launched into the tune, Joe Jonas casually wandered out (to the frenzied shrieks of the Lovatics in the audience!) to support his longtime friend with a vocal assist, as the two happily smiled at each other and belted out the tune. “Thanks @joejonas for the awesome surprise!! #staplescenter #4yrssincewesangtogether #demiworldtour” Demi later tweeted along with a photo of the two of them on stage that night.
